Has anyone swapped out an MTH wireless tether for a shorter one? I have a PS2 Hudson with a ten pin tether as well as a PS3 0-6-0 with a 6 pin tether I would like move closer to their tenders.

Not sure the mounts on the either the engine or tender could be moved but I would consider that if it were possible.

Swapped out the original drawbar from the CNW E4 Proto-2 Hudson with the mid-length bar. Worked nicely, but I had to replace the deck plate with a fabricated one while I figure out how I want to modify the original brass one. The Santa Fe Blue Goose has a rounded deck plate and I'll swap out its drawbar later. The shorter bar looks good but you need the curve sizes to support it.

HW, does this help with the draw bars tendency to become loose over time at the tender connection?

Thanks

I have not had that problem. I install the shorter drawbars because it brings the tender closer to the engine and looks much better. But then, my SHARPEST curve is one spot of 072.

072, I wish. I'm 036 which of course may be part of the issue.

Thanks, S
