my pair of ps3 units function quite well in lashup but when first started i have to cycle the direction switch a couple of times so both units are in synch.this is a one diesel facing forward and one backwards set up.is this normal?

No, Which version of DCS do you have?
4.2 rev L
Can you describe how you set-up your lashup in DCS?.........Roger
I'm presuming this is an MU (lashup) configuration? Did you remove them from the lashup and reconfigure them?
i configured them via the manual >menu>advanced>create lashup.i have done this twice in the last 60 days as has been working well.as i mentioned if i hit the dir key once or twice all is well.i hesitate to reload again and get the same results and hate to loose my soft key preorder.
williegee, If you'll go to the weekend photo fun pre-Christmas edition, you will be able to see a lashup (multi-unit consist) that I just created today. It consists of 4 MTH-Premier diesel engines: 2 Norfolk Southern Heritage engines (Southern & Norfolk and Western) NS Dash 8, and Southern sd70ace.............Roger
another minor quirk, maybe related..sometimes end sound will work on one diesel only.
That is intentional. When an MU or double header is created the sounds and other controls only work on the lead engine. The components of the MU are placed in the inactive area. If you want the sounds on the trailing engines to sound all you have to do is to bring the component engines into the active area and adjust those engine features you desire to control. I personally have a hoot when a 4 unit MU sounds off with all four different sounds.
just added another MU with 2 opposing PS2 SD70'S and same as before.when i first turn it on have to cycle the dir button twice otherwise the eng oppose each other.this also happens in watch dog.other than the dir issue every thing works 100 percent.as i post this/2 MU's going at once and running flawless.BTW the PS2's are 3 rail and the PS3's are 2 rail.
update..my 2nd MU(ps2 sd70's) is working fine. i was fooled by a dead leaf fallen from a houseplant on the rails. i did reload my ps3's again and still have to cycle the dir button twice.all my locos share 1 tiu which powers 2 loops and transformer(z1000).
