Does any one use Museum Wax or Putty to secure figures, trees, etc.? If so, how well does it hold?

Have used museum wax for many years. Holds very well. I used the wax to attach people to the inside of my subway cars and they are still attached both standing and sitting after 10 years. It will leave a small amount of residue but it wipes off easily with a soft cloth and doers not harm the finish. Great stuff.
Have used the stuff for years in museum displays. As Anthony reports, it leaves no residue and holds very well. It's the bomb.
I use earthquake putty….ok, ok out here in sunny California we all use that stuff.
Any way I find it easy use and easier to remove whenI want to change up the scene. Good for figures, buildings and vehicles.
