We are open and welcome everyone to stop in and check out the new changes! First, you will notice a new, brighter look! The rugs are gone and we have a new ceramic tile floor! Plus we changed the layout of the floor plan and now added two new full "islands" of product. Expanded all departments, N, HO, O and almost done with RC. With our recent purchase of "Gemini RC" company's products (On our web site) we plan a deeper dip into radio control. Recent lines like Empire's Quads, IMEX RC Tanks and more. Many good things are happening! Our layout in the front is gone and we will be building a new one 3X's the size of the old one. Of course we will be adding to our paints and tools with new lines and also will be bringing in a POS system that will tie the store's, warehouse and web site's inventory all together in "real time" data! We are very excited about the changes. Of course this weekend we have a big one as my son Chris get's married. Chris has been the "impetus" behind all the changes. So after, new Hi vac's, new roofs, new doors, new office renovations and computer additions, new web site and new paint on building we are geared up for some great hobby fun! So please stop in and say hello to the gang and look around!

We also will be doing the front of the building in the future too.

Congratulations! Looks like a very nice store, very well done and large to boot! Lots of merchandise to browse! You are just a very long way from where I live. We have very few train shops around here but, we do have one nice small train shop that is mostly O gauge. The owner is a nice guy that will help you order/get anything you are looking for. We have sort of become friends.

You guys back east are very lucky to have lots of nice big shops (and smaller ones too). Hobby shops are very limited here in the midwest, especially for O gauge.

I wish you well with your newly remodeled store, looks like it would be hard to go in and browse and then leave empty handed! I mostly support my local shop so he can hopefully remain profitable, stay in business, and I will have a train shop to visit, but I will keep an eye on your website.

If it's been more than about 14-15 years, it's because it's a different building!   (I forget the exact date, but I believe the move to the current location occurred in the 1998-1999 time frame)

David is correct, after renting since 1946 (3 stores in Freeport) I took the plunge years ago and bought this 3 building complex. We rented out two stores(now one when they needed more room), kept the main two floor building for us and have a huge connected two story warehouse in the back that can acomodate a full tractor trailer inside. We designed the warehouse but it needs painting and the floor resealed. I would also like to update the electric roll up door too. Our plan is to scan everything into and out of shipping/receiving later this year. The layout work will begin shortly and will be multi level.

Chris says "Thank You" for all the kind wishes. Say Hi to him at York when you see him. Thanks again, Charlie..

As Charlie and Chris know it is not about New York or even Long Island, but all about the South Shore and some of the finest beaches in the world. Stopping at Rockville Centre, Baldwin, Freerport, Merrick, Belmore, Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, Amityville, Copiague, Lindenhurst and Babylon. Need I say more.

Congrats on your renovations guys.

All the best,

Miketg
