Other than the three tracks that could lead to future expansion, what is there to not understand?
Lionel Super O track from the late 50s. Curves and switches 036. You can still find it in the secondary market. Probably not what you were asking, but this is "something".
Hard to see the track plan with the glare of the flash.
They can be used as storage / yard tracks. (Albeit one very short) but mostly can be used for future expansion.
Could be for point to point operation. Not everyone loops trains.
