This car ran on the New York & North Shore Traction Company, which was a railway on Long Island. I would like to know what company likely made this car, and are there any other photos of a car like it?
The bottom picture has a G. C. Kuhlman builder plate under the trucks, so we can be fairly certain of the builder. It probably dates from the pre-WWI years. After WWI trends were moving towards light weight steel cars.
