Engine works perfectly except for the headlights. Neither headlight works. They should be directional. All the wiring to the main board checks OK. New bulbs tested OK. Did factory reset.
It appears to be a main board or software. Any suggestions on what to do next? Engine came without box.

Do you have a model number?
You may need a lower voltage bulb. 18V is not the right bulb try 5V bulb.

Did you do a feature reset, that will generally correct glitch in software lights and sometime smoke issues, if you have a MTH Asc Tech available he can test your board in a PS 2 test fixture!

I tried a Factory Reset and a feature reset. No Luck . Model number from the web, 10-1302-1
As I've said you need to have an ASCH TECH check your board in a ps 2 test fixture, once the board is verified it has to be a wiring problem!

They should be 6V bulbs isolated from chassis and driven off the 3V board. If bulb test good and bright on 9V battery, as stated could be board problem, or bulb not touching pad inside socket. G
