My trolley will run on an elevated platform, 6-7” above the base layer of the commercial district. I have elevators at two stops, but would like to add stairs. I’ve thought of kit bashing a pedestrian walkover bridge, but wonder if there’s not a more realistic source for stairs

Do a google search for O scale wood stairs. Bass wood, may be the best material.
OGR member @AlanRail has experience in design and 3D printing of these structures. He may be able to help.

I may be able to 3D print the stairs for you.
Send me a picture with dimensions.

Are you looking to wrap the stairs around the elevator? The I need the outside dimensions of the elevator(s).
Also, do you want landings if so at what height(s).
like this?
I'd also add handrails maybe light opening for LEDs

If you are looking for really wide stairs try Plastruct Step-12 (7 inches), otherwise STAA-48.
If you are looking for wood try Rail Scale Models RSM-D3052

Banta Modelworks makes basswood kits with jigs from which to build staircases. On their website, click on the image of a table-saw and scroll down. Many types of furniture kits shown.

Wow! Great answers guys. The elevator shafts are “made” - only in my mind. I’ll pursue these suggestions and also get back to AlanRail when I reach that point of actual construction.
Don -- let me make the elevator shaft(s) too. that way I can create handrails that attached to and run along the inner wall.
This model is not that complex to print.
Also best of all, I don't charge.... it's free!!
let me know.

Nice stuff on that site. No handrails though.
