Due to a recent move and a major collection downsizing, I am no longer able to build a basement -sized layout. However, I do have room for a small 4x8 layout in the garage, so, all is not lost!! I am thinking of building a layout in the OGR book," 21 Great Track Plans for Compact Layouts. Ken Hoganson shows a nice little layout plan called "Action on the Peach Grove Line".

Unfortunately, the plan is only shown using Atlas track, which I like, but can not afford. Has anyone converted this plan using Lionel Fastrack? I am not at all computer literate, or I would try designing this myself. Hopefully, someone on here has already tried this. If so, I would sure like to see a plan and materials list. Thanks.

There are five diameters of curves in FasTrack. There are O36, O48. O60, O72, and O84.  Also the switches beside being of different curvature may not be the same physical size.  Therefore, it won't be a 1 to 1 substitution.

One question you will need to answer for Ken is "Is your layout physically constrained to the dimensions of the original?"  Can your layout increase a few inches in each direction?
