Hi Todd,
Check to "accent sounds" volume in the remote. It should have been turned up when you did the feature reset, but it could be low. The other possibility is a bad sound file load. Perhaps someone with the same engine can check their clickity-clack feature. All PS2 and PS3 engines should have the feature.
Usually the clickity-clack is pretty quite compared to the normal engine sounds. Turn the volume to maximum just to make sure the noise of the train isn't drowning out the feature.
I have a similar issue with my PS2 Electroliner. When I engage clickety-clack, the horn and other sounds no longer work. I assumed this was just a feature of the clickety-clack function ("It's not a bug, it's a feature"), but I was unaware of the "accent sounds" control on the remote. I'll try that next time I run the Electroliner, but can somebody tell me for sure that the horn is supposed to work when clickety-clack is turned on?
When clickety clack engages, you cannot sound the horn or use the microphone.
The microphone sometimes locks up the TIU, so that's not all that useful anyway.

That os precisely how it's supposed to work.
