New Home New Layout

I like this layout plan.No crawling under the table to a trap door ...no getting up on the table.Also it is an interesting yet simple design.Looks like you can add on some day if you get bored.Good luck.Nick

Make the spur line a reversing trolley and cross the main lines go about half way up the layout changing direction in a town or station.

thank you for sharing your layout plans, I am sure it will change a few times.

It is like a house after you live in a few, you know what will work.

It usually takes building and operating a few to get your layout to the point that is exactly what you want. Some do it by expansions.

I like the plan simple and looks like you can add on at a later date.

Very good layout for access and long runs.  My only suggestion is to consider adding switches just up from the bottom right to make that loop reversable.

I have already made a couple of modifications to the "plan" including adding two switches for the bigger blue loop to make a reversing loop.  May also add a couple of switches to the smaller radius loop to make that reversing as well.

I have also added a second curved passing siding on the lower dog bone loop and straightened the upper loop a bit for the elevated train station I plan on installing in that location.

Have a bit more track geometry to figure but hopefully I will get the next iteration posted in the next couple of days.

Just a fyi that Mianne now makes a lift section which raises to 64" I believe.   Might be an option to avoid duckunders and allow for a track plan which may suit your wishes better.

Made some mods to my layout plan which include:

A new passing siding on the lower dog bone blue line.

Reversing switch on blue line (this will be hidden in mountain.

Straightened out upper blue line around station to make longer platform

Added Buildings

Any comments would be appreciated.
