New Icing Facility, with moving blocks

I am almost complete with my icing facility.  I ended up using the Ice house from Atlas and the Work Shanty from Atlas as a office, with the rest of the platform built from scratch.  I wanted to thank the tag name "Jim M" who put me onto the leather dies for staining the wood.  It worked awesome.  I still need to create a ramp that goes from the platform to the ice house.  The intention of the two layers of the platform is the lower would be used to deliver ice to the facility with rail cars while the upper level would be used to load ice.  My layout has a two track spot I have planning for quite a while to populate with this structure.






I really wanted to have the blocks be automated and move along the track, but I could not think of a way to do it cheaply.  Instead I compromised and have the blocks move back and fourth with a slow RPM motor.  Movie attached, voltage will be reduced to slow down.

I am looking for suggestions on what else should be on the platform.  I saw on the crescent locomotive works site he has wheel barrels on this platform, what are they for and where can you purchase them?  I must say after building this myself, his platform looks to be a bargain at $150.
