I'm about to build my 2nd hi-rail layout in January 2014! I've got on paper, an 11 x 5 layout plan of sorts. Will try to post a pdf/picture. Basically a double track dogbone with maybe a On30 in the back, elevated by itself on a smaller dogbone. ON mainlayout I'd like to have several runs for operations or a small yard. I have the room to add a ie., 2x6 board for a more formal classification yard. This part of the layout would be suspened for access through the garage when trains are not running.
My last layout was 12x5 and was featured in OGR under Brummy's Landscape Express advertisement about 1.5 years ago. See attache shot of my tunnel, Lionel Boston & Albany and Lionel 2343, using Brummy's ground rubber ballast.
