What tooling is being used for the 0-4-0's on pages 18-19 of the new Catalog? Is it the scale B6 from 1989 downgraded? Or K-Line?

My guess it's the old k-line casting. When I compared my K-line scale PRR mikado with tmcc to the new Lionel legacy PRR mikado they were almost the same. The Lionel unit had a change in the placement of the headlight, a change to the front pilot, and different shade of green, but it was the K-line casting re-worked a little. I have the 0-4-0 K-line switcher. They look the same in the new Lionel catalog. The new berkshire’s in the 2012 catalog also must be the old K-line casting is my guess. I also have the tmcc K-line berk, and if its the same casting the Lionel will a great engine as well. If Lionel does use the same K-line casting for the 0-4-0 PRR switcher it will be a nice engine.

No one else has made that loco and I doubt it that Lionel is spending the $$ to remake that casting.
The 0-4-0 shifter is sure to be the old K-line casting. I've seen one and thought they were identical to the new - missed the few changes noted above.
The Berk also, I think, which is good. The K-line casting was good looking although mine never ran that well when I had it.
