Hi all,

I recently joined the OGR Forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Wayne and I'm from the Hudson Valley, NY. Got into the hobby about 9 years ago with my first Lionel ready-to-run set (6-30089 Pennsylvania Flyer) and have been adding to my collection incrementally ever since. Currently I have an NYC DD35A that we got new in 2012 and this past Christmas I added a PRR S1 after being in the market for one for several years. I have one Postwar B&M GP-9 that we also added this past year which we were lucky enough to find in pristine condition both cosmetically and mechanically. Some photos of them are down below.

Looking forward to learning more from the members on here!

I love that set. I ran my Wegmans version with all of the add-on cars on a Super O loop on the elevated village section under the tree this year, it ran for hours on end and was whisper quiet & smooth the whole time.

Welcome!

Thanks Putnam Division!  It came with the original box and owners manual which was nice and apparently had very little run time in the 50 or so years its been around. Probably was shelf displayed for many of those years since it hardly shows its age.

Adding a Hudson to my layout is definitely in the pipeline D500 (as is a PRR Q2 if Lionel ever decides to make one). As a fan of the streamlined variants I'm hoping Lionel releases a Legacy Dreyfuss like the one they were planning back in 2008 (6-11148) but never put into production. As much as I like the Empire State Express one that they have now I've always been partial to the 20th Century Limited look.
