New old bottle Floquil CSX black won't mix | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Could find no better forum, hope this is acceptable.

I opened a new bottle of Floquil CSX gloss black, obviously a few years old as Floquil has been gone awhile. I can't get the pigment to mix in the carrier. Shook at least 10 minutes, no success, stirred and shook again, no luck.

Anyone know what is going on or ideas? I have several bottles of new paint, hate to think all my new old paint is no good.

Stir it.

I did stir it and felt no solidified pigment, and shook again. I read about putting in an ultrasonic cleaner filled with water for an hour. Will try that.

Invest in one of these. Works where normal simple stirring methods don't.
