I am starting my first project in my new model room. I am building the Union Pacific Control Tower that is located in Cheyenne, Wyoming for one of my customers. Here are some pictures.

Alan, some real fine modeling there…thanks for sharing the pics. Looking forward to seeing this one completed!
Alan the model already looks great. This will be another fine model and your customer can claim that their model was the first built.

Amazing work, Alan!
Absolutely gorgeous!
Peter
Thank you Peter. It has been a fun project so far.
WOW! Amazing tower Alan. I am not surprised. Love it and thanks for sharing. Congrats on the new shop!

Great build as usual Alan. I find it interesting how you built the core first then the support legs and observation/ control room around and on top of the core.
Great job Alan! Questions on the lighted UP sign if you don't mind. What material did you print the signs on? How did you fabricate the metal back frame for the signs? They look stamped out of sheet metal by a press to form them.
Very nice.
Great work as usual Alan.
Bob
Thanks Bob.
Joe,
I cut the signs from styrene sheet.
I printed the signs on a heavier weight copy paper. I tried using photo sheets and the ink smeared. I put a light in each sign.
Beautiful work as usual Alan! I love the details and of course the lighted signs make it! Take care!
Mike
Excellent work as usual Alan! I’ll always be proud of having your models on my layout.
