very nice
I've ridden on them twice. Wonderful for out-of-towners and people with hearing loss (like I have) because the upcoming station stop can be read on the monitors (rather than "garble" over a P.A. system). For train fans in the first car, it's easy to look forward to the tracks through windows.
I've lost count at how many are out in service at this point, they are way behind schedule with a number of problems. They are roving the system and I have seen them a number of times on the Landsdale line late morning. They are very nice looking and look to be comfortable.
Update: As of December SEPTA has taken delivery of 60 cars, that is half the order of 120. My co-worker in the dept. has now riden them several times and said it was a nice swooth ride. He also liked the monitors like Joe and the sound system. Latest production is about seven a month. Last do out maybe Sept. A number of the first ones have to be modified and the builder is doing that at one of the SEPTA facilities.
