Finally got the crossing gates installed and operational.  Controller is Azatrax MRX2 and uses six IR track sensors embedded in the track.  Board runs a tortise slow motor that actuates two NJI gates.  The bell is from a discarded MTH flasher set.

Very pleased withe Azatrax system as it performs flawlessly under all lighting conditions.

The main scene is deliberatly dark to emphasize the gates and so you don't see the back walls of layout.  Unfortunately camera focus isn't real sharp as camera seems to focus on some object in distance.

Hi,

No I don't think they do, as they have their own line of controllers but not as sophisticated (I believe) as Azatrax.  The MRX2 board, the Tortise, the actuators, and gates are all available direct from Azatrax.com website.  The gates actually cost less than direct from NJI, although some gate models are out of stock.  Luckily Azatrax had the old style "A" arms with black stripping that fit my era modeling.  However cavet, be aware that the gate arm lights do not blink correctly with the mast flasher lamps (no steady tip light).
