I needed the lumenescent panel for my TMCC Shark car. Lionel made 2 cars that use these panels. The only vendor that listed the part was North Lima Trainworks. I have read many posts on the forum complaining about their lack of service. Since I was not able to find the part anywhere I decided to try an order from them. Within 24 hrs of placing my order, I got a tracking number and expected delivery in 3 days. That is great service. Hopefully this is a good sign that they have gotten their issues from the past resolved. They list many parts not available anywhere else. It would be great to know they are a good source. I am certainly pleased with their service.

They are a very small operation (located just a few miles from where I live), and from what I understand, they tend to staff it on pretty much an as-needed basis because they are also involved in other business operations unrelated to Lionel parts left over from the Lionel Service Center that once was located in nearby Canfield, OH.
@Joe Fermani, I've placed several orders with NLT in the past several weeks and had the same experience: on line order filled and shipped within a day or two; tracking info supplied; and, usually, expedited shipping.
Hi,
Please let us know if the replacement screen works! Our experience has been most of the screens (of the Shark variety) have gone or were made bad (no fault of North Lima.) The Whale car screens (which are different) do seem to work quite well.

I never knew the Shark cars had that problem. I bought mine used and was fine when I got it. Last time I used it (several months ago), I noticed it was dim and not as bright. We had a BBQ the other week and I knew this car would be a hit with the kids. When I tested it out I found the panels were out. The new panels are suppose to arrive today. Hopefully this weekend I'll get a chance to replace them. I wonder if the whale panels can be retro fitted into the shark car. The whale panels have 4 connections (2 per each side) whereas the shark panels only have one connection per side.
If all else fails, I guess I could get a standard aquarium panel and put in leds.
