Howdy!

I am still working on my around the room o gauge layout, but we just put in a nice garden out in the back and I want to put in a G Gauge layout.  A simple loop with maybe a siding or two to park some cars next to some buildings.  Not really wanting to do a lot of switching with the garden layout.  My question is what is the best track system to go with.  I want something that has Brass track.  It would be nice to have something I can get as a set and then can add additional track later.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Thanks!

Aristo-Craft probably has the best Large Scale track selection these days.  I'm not even sure LGB (now owned by Marklin) is even making much track anymore, but I could be wrong about that.  Anyhow, the Aristo track is nearly identical to LGB track and is also less expensive.

Not sure why you want to go with brass, but that is still the most commonly used.  If I were to build another outdoor railroad, I would go with stainless steel, even though it is more costly.  It's easier to care for in an outdoor environment.

I live by Lake O'the Pines, I run analog & use

a mix of LGB & Aristocraft 332 rail for

my large scale trains.
