The weather put a small damper on our open house, but we still had quite a few folks and a good time was had by all. I only got one video with a caboose ride, so here it is for your enjoyment.

Great video, John.....
2 questions:
1. What was pulling your consist?
2. That was a long run......if it was via DCS, do you know the distance in scale miles?
Peter
Sure would like to visit this layout one day. Are there other opportunities for a visit?
Nice ride GUNRUNNER!!! Thanks. Is that the same camera you showed me on Monday, when I came to pick up my engine?
Peter,
The unit pulling the consist was an MTH Reading Heritage unit trailed by two non-powered Reading units. Took the whole train up a 2% grade without a problem. A testament to the clubs fine Trackwork.
Awesome!
Thanks guys. Yes George, it's the same camera you saw. I actually took two videos, but the one with the lens cap still on wasn't that interesting, so I didn't post that one.
John, thanks for the video; really enjoyed the sense of size the camera provided.

We're there most Monday evenings, you can stop by for a guest visit, just give us a heads-up.
Awesome video Gunrunner.
The camera takes very clear video, maintains focus very well and has very good color even in low light areas.

Thanks guys, too bad I didn't take the lens cap off earlier, I'd have had more video.
Great video John!!
we will look at doing an open house in the summer.
we had talked about doing something last year???
Thanks Harry,John and crew for a great afternoon of trains. Worth the drive in not a so good day for being on the road. One grandson loved the dogs the other the hot dogs and both the trains. After yesterday the summer sounds good. John keep the videos coming. Tom and guys
Hello John • Well done video of the NPOG open house and a ride on the rails.
• Cheers from The Detroit & Machinac Railway
I was looking at the video and realized that it wasn't quite in focus, turns out I can focus this camera, so the next videos should be better.
I'm happy some folks made it, the weather was a bummer for all of us.
Thanks for the video; hopefully a good time was had by all at your open house.
Now they got some rolling stock. Thanks for the post
I wish somebody had told me about the open house and where it was located, i went to the breakfast and train show but nobody told me about the open house i would have loved to see the layout with engines running!
Alan Mancus
Don't know where the open house was either, hope I'm invited some time!
Thanks for the long ride John, I enjoyed that.

Hi
John great video as always. Which camera was that you used?
I am also grateful that everyone had a great time and got home safe.
Nice video, and nice coal loads too.
Don
This is the camera I use, 808 #16 120 Degree Lens Keyfob HD 720P Camera. It does a decent job, and I like the wide angle lens, gives you a better shot of the scenery as it goes by.
Alan, the open house was posted here several weeks ago, sorry you missed it.
Great video John, looked like a great day
Alex
Another great video John! How long was the train? Remembering the lay-out from last year's open house must of been 30 -40 feet long as I saw the engines coming by the camera in the caboose several times. What was the green passenger train? Focus didn't deminish the video at all. Again I must say thanks for the memories.
I think that one was about 40-45 cars long, truthfully he was running and I just came along and stuck the camera to the caboose.
Very nice video John, and a great looking layout.
Nice video, good layout. You guys have shirts and everything. Very cool.
Thanks guys. We're a professional organization Lee, of course we dress the part!
Very nice layout and large as well. The layout seems to have a bit of just about everything on it. I can't imagine how long it took to construct.
Harry is a madman when it comes to the scenery, he cranks out an amazing amount of it. Also, a significant part you see are the club modules, so there are a lot of guys building pieces that you see.
John,
Thank you for sharing another very nice video! I ordered that camera when I saw the other video you posted (03 Feb) and I am anxiously awaiting for its arrival.
Thanks again.
Alex
Thanks Alex. Just remember if you have the wide angle lens, it actually has a focus capability! I didn't realize that I had knocked it out of focus, so future videos may be a bit clearer.
Nice video John! I had a great time at the open house. Loved the Reading passenger train!
Here is an aerial view of the layout from my iPhone:
Nice shots Brian, glad you could make it. You got some good angles there!
Thanks John. I wanted to stay longer and get more video, but with the snow building up the 90 minute ride turned into a three hour drive home!
Interesting, it normally takes me about 20 minutes to Harry's house, it took maybe 25 to go home at around 6 PM. Not many people on the roads, so I could just go.
Very nice video! Love the trackwork. Reading is an old favorite too.
Hi Brian.
Thank you for posting the video. Glade you had a great time.
An video was great.
