Does anyone know a source or mix of paint to match the Ontario & Western grey on there diesels. It seems to be a little more blue than Scalecoat Erie Lackawanna Grey. I have a couple of P&D F3A's and B's that I would like to paint in the NYO&W. Just ordered some decals from Highball Graphics, now I just need a match for the grey. Looks like the Highball decals include the yellow stripes and orange bib. Thanks
I don't know of anyone who makes a "true" in bottle grey for the O&W. A gentleman from the historical society who does extensive modeling of the O&W used Polly Scale BAR Grey for his base and tweaked it to the correct grey-blue color. Other folks simply used the BAR grey and called it close enough. Sorry I don't have better info, but mixing seems to be the only way to get the right color.
And thanks for listing where you got the decals! I may have to expand my own fleet of F-Units.
