After looking for cork road bed for a while I decide to make my own.Went to lows and brought 2 rolls of cork and some construction glue.I cut it into strips placed them one on top another.Then like a cake put the construction glue between the strips.I used bricks to weigh it down.Let set overnigh next morning remove bricks.Rock solid in place and I have notice some sound reduction.Which is what I was after.To some it might seem a lot of work.But I am at the point that I want to make my own stuff.I grew up were people would build model trains from scratch.Some were crude and some would make your jawl drop.Some even made the motor for the locomotives that pulled some long trains.
