O scale model of a heavy duty 8-axle 52 foot gondola with "fishbelly" underframe.

This is a scratchbuilt O scale 8-axle heavy duty general purpose gondola typically used for MOW operations. The car is 18 inches (72 scale feet) in length over coupler faces. The model has "articulated" truck bolsters which allow operation on smaller radius curves and turnouts. This model has a high side 52 foot gondola body. It also could be used as a crane tender.

Note: The model as shown has a "fishbelly" style underframe. Another version of this same car has a "standard" underframe.
