Just downsized my post war O gauge layout. I use an LW transformer for whistle control and tube track. The switches worked as they should on the old layout with the voltage plug. Now they work as they should on track voltage but not with the voltage plug. The14v post measures 14v at the transformer and and 12.5v at the voltage plug. When plugged in there is not enough voltage to completely throw the switch, transformer power zero. When power is advanced, switch lights dim and go out and switch won’t throw. Pull the constant voltage plug and switches work on track power. I can operate without the constant voltage, but would like to understand what’s happening and fix it.
