I recently found an OGRR window sign that Miller Signs had produced several years ago.

The sign inspired me to upgrade an old unoccupied building on my layout. In addition to the animated window sign, I added indoor and outdoor lighting and am very pleased with the results. The only purchase I needed to make was for a 3 volt DC wall wart to power the sign:

The building is a Lionel 6-12931 Electrical Substation Kit that I have had since 1998. When I assembled it, I glued the floor in the base. Afterward, I realized that I would not be able to add lights, interior details, etc. Recently I started using my Dremel tool after many years of having it sit idle. Low and behold, I was able to cut out the floor of the building and do the rehab! Now that my layout is what may look like "finished" (which it never will be) I am on the lookout for projects like this one. Lucky for me, I am finding many other possible upgrades!
