I'm putting a True blast Plus sound system in a Weaver RS.  I can't get the shell on as the speaker is too tall.  I would be happy to put another speaker in that actually fits into the speaker well which is     1 1/4".  The True Blast speaker has to sit in the well on its side so it's too tall.  One that would fit in would actually have the sound coming out of the bottom grill.

So, what's the ohm rating?  I searched the Bachmann site and OGR, and I can't find the answer.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Alan

I am pretty sure its 8 ohms. I have used them in other applications that required an 8 ohm speaker without problem. You can check them with an ohmmeter. Anything above 5.5 ohms indicates it likely an 8 ohm speaker. Realize the rating is nominal and refers to the impedance not the resistance and that varies with the applied frequency.
