After using it (6-37947) just a couple of days, not sure I recommend it anyway -- doesn't really work like what I'm used to.

This is ok to run with all trains as well? Doesn't matter that it only puts out 17.5 volts? Just trying to understand more about these transformers.

Awesome, thanks so much for the quick reply I saw another post from a few years back where you said not to over volt so I was wondering if under volting was ok. I would like to get one of the 501s to bench test like you have and then have a GW-180 powering my shelf layout but wanted to be sure I wasn't buying something I wouldn't be able to use lol
