I'm trying to locate old ties, track, junk, etc. to enliven my O-scale layout. No luck finding any of this so far. Can anyone recommend a website that sells this type of material? Please respond to pawneemoon1@gmail.com
You can fashion your own ties out of small scraps of wood, dyed appropriately. Also, check out Model Tech Studios for pre-made and colored items - some neat stuff!
If you do go to a train show, be sure to look in the boxes that the vendors typically have on the floor under their table. That's where the stuff that the guy doesn't think is worth much inevitably ends up. I have gotten some of my best deals by spotting stuff on the floor and making a ridiculously low-ball offer.
We offer all sorts of details for the layout in resin as well as jewelers pewter. Here are some items designed by the late Chris Comport (Russian River):http://scalecitydesigns.com/russian-river-railroad-company/resin-details/
