WOW.  We went to the club for a visit.  I was very impressed with the new facility and the top notch job the guys did on the layout.  People, this thing is huge.  Everything ran great and all the members present were very helpful with any questions.  I have to state this is the best I have seen in my area.  Job well done guys.

Marty, thanks for the complimentary comment...  we did work hard to get the layout to its present operational state...  and we are working hard to get the scenery in place... we have 5 months until the September Open House [currently scheduled for September 15]...

Thanks again and I'll see you Wednesday evening at the DCS meeting...

Lionelbill, thank you also for your kind comments... we'll try to exceed ourselves again for September so you'll come back!!

A great start to what will be a fantastic layout. The benchwork and trackwork are very well done.  Marty and I are anxiously  waiting for updates as you get more done. Can't wait to see it next year at this time.  Here are some of the photos I took. (Hopefully Photobucket will cooperate tonight. Last night it kpt freezing up on me.)

You know there are good things behind the door when you see this.

Nice mountain, guys.

Glad to see this part of the layout made the move OK.

General overview of the far side of the layout.

I just found this thread.

Thank you guys for all the kind words. I'll let the other club members know about the positive feedback. Our scenery has been progressing since the open house and we are currently working on the next section of mountains in the area directly behind the viaduct. I'll post some pics from our next scheduled work day on June 9th.

*and please remember...we are always looking for new members, whether you are a train enthusiast, expert modeler, someone that would like to learn more about the hobby, or an all around good guy/gal....come on down!

PS: Please note that our website is currently down due to some security issues with our Web hosting...this should be remedied pretty soon.

Sincerely,

Nick B.

Middleton, MA
