Hey everyone trainfam here,
I recently came across a junk lot I had full of broken down accessories I used for parts, Most of which were Marx 1404’s. Unfortunately most of these 1404’s accessories got melted or burned. This was mainly because the lightbulb would melt the inside of the head or the solenoid would burn the inside of the base. Ugh! What a pain! Anyway, with this new find I decided to pull them out of the graveyard and do some experiments on them. I do have one 1404 that I do want to save although. My question is how can I open up the shell?
In the picture you see above the shell is two parts (minus the head) that have been glued together, is there a way that I can separate this without breaking anything? I’ve tried goo-gone in the past but nothing happened. Any help would be appreciated.
