I have a layout with two isolated sidings. Still in the process of finishing the layout with scenery and such. Have had the layout operational for over a year and never had any electrical problems.
Parked one engine on the siding to operate the other engine. Apparently did not have the parked engine all the way in and left the power on to that siding.
While operating engine two I saw that engine one still had power. I shut everything down. Apparently I had power going to both isolated sidings.
When I went to start the layout again. My outlet on the wall was dead. I checked all breakers and GFI plugs in the house and nothing was tripped.
Any suggestions as to why the outlet is dead?? I do have a breaker on my transformer. It is an old post war Train Master Type TW. I did plug that in to a different outlet and it appears to be ok. Have not hooked it up to the layout yet.
