Out of the box or kitbash prebuilts?

On prebuilt Woodlands and other buildings, do you make any changes, or just place on layout as made? Lately I'm finding myself added, or changing some signs, but thinking of kitbashing some also.

I don't have many prebuilt buildings, that I am using on layout...most are kit builts, but the few I have, such as the Lionel grain elevator, and there is one Woodland's I am looking for, I have and will kitbash. I have a number of kitbashed Plasticville, that I decided not to use, because of the size.
