That's awesome Steve. And they keep getting better and better.
That CNJ boxcar brought back a lot of memories. We had a CNJ boxcar just like this one parked in front of our local freight station. Good times.
To say you've been busy is an understatement. Great work, Steve.
That's awesome Steve. And they keep getting better and better...
Second that!
Sincerely,
Jim
How long have you been weathering Steve?
Like the McDonald's sign which showed how many. Congratulations on reaching 1000. .....Paul
Wow,
That is amazing.
Congrats.
That's why you are the all time weathering Master. Congrates alot of time spent prefecting your craft.
Dirt, rust, and crud never looked so good. Terrific work!
Fantastic, congrats and hopefully many, many more!!
Your weathered pieces are true gems. So is your layout.
Congratulations.

Actually, sand is up next...
Thanks guys and especially to Don Klose for providing me with an extension to my art work.
I always have been re-painting things since a kid.
As for weathering, I modeled HO scale for many years observing George Sellios as my modeling inspiration.

I decided to model O like I did HO.
When MTH produced the first subway, I was quickly lured out of HO and traditional 027 to true O. I also got hooked on sounds / DCS.
So to answer the question, I guess after viewing weathering album 1 of 34, weathering ”O” started sometime after 2007 when I completed the layout.
Quickly after that it turned into a side business and has been growing ever since.
I’m not alone in the weathering group.
Joey has come up to a level quicker than anyone I’ve seen along with Ray M.
Those two guys have many great things to offer us in the near future.
Other weathering pros here are, Laidoffsick, Steve C. Corsair 29, Nick t8afao and many others.
I always look up to the guys like John Sethian, Neal Schorr, Rich Battista, Frank M, Richard E, Patrick H and Christopher N&W as my modeling inspiration as well.
Maybe it’s because they can capture the realism and memories many of us have seen along the NE rails!
We’ve had so many other great modelers come and go here through the years it’s a shame they moved on.
The modelers who have shown success are the ones who seem to stay focused.
Thanks all, always glad to inspire,
Steve
Nashville Tn.
