A friend of mine on the Marx Yahoo group built this for me. These were a little before my time, but my Mother has often spoke of being able to ride them all over the LA area. I selected Santa Monica for the name, that's where I was born and car number 530, my birth date.

There are a couple of PE "Skin Jobs" (replicas) working Ports of Call in San Pedro, plus a restored "original replica" (a real car restored to match another series.) They're pretty impressive to watch and are quite popular during the summer.

This one was restored from a wreck. The restorer liked the 1000-series cars which ended at #1057. He logically numbered his at 1058. They don't run it that often but it's beautifully restored.

These are the replicas (also beautifully done.) They really put a great effort into these.

Do you have instructions you could send me on how to take apart the corgi to install the people?

Do you already have the GHB trucks? There should be instructions included. Dont ask me where to find the GHB trucks if you don't. I just happened to get lucky with the ones I found.

The streetcar is glued and pressed together. I had to drill a few holes in the bottom to get it to come apart. Once I had the trucks and people installed I glued it all back together.
