So some really good people on the layout forum were able to help me develop a track plan and now I have to get some electrical going for the new layout.  I have one 20 amp breaker that will be dedicated for the train and I am wondering if one outlet with a power strip or two is good enough or should I add a few outlets around the layout.  My plan is to run DCS with a TIU, 2 AIU's and a WIU.  My main power supply is a Z-4000 and 4 MTH AC power bricks.

I vaguely recall some threads here (but may be many DCS versions removed) about power strips causing interference with some command operations.  Might want to check that out before deciding to go with only one outlet.  Even if power strips are not a problem, why not wire the area for other potential uses while doing the work?  Also, don't forget layout lighting in ceiling or higher up on walls.
