I used oxide red, Krylon Ruddy brown primer, another choice would be black.
My attempt with the MTH graduated trestle set. You may want to wash the piers with a dilute solution of india ink and alcohol. That might dull them a bit without a complete paint job.
Mike,
Very nice. Could you describe the girders and the fenced roadbed? I have homosote under Fastrack and it is pretty ugly right now. The straights are ok, but the curves were really hard to cut a smooth edge on.
Mike,
Very nice. Could you describe the girders The girders are clear poplar lumber that a dado was used to cut the I beam look. Then with a miter saw and bench grinder I adjusted the piece to the curve. There is a right and left beam piece. and the fenced roadbed The second product with the walkway and the handrails was a product from Bridge Solutions, no longer in business. A similar product is available from the NJ Highrailers Club? Best I could find is a Facebook page for Silk City Bridge Works. I have homosote under Fastrack and it is pretty ugly right now. The straights are ok, but the curves were really hard to cut a smooth edge on.
Thanks. That is great work.
