Anyone ever used the rubber cement peeling paint technique? Forgot the sequence of application. Is it paint first and then add the rubber cement while its wet? Then peel it off before the paint completely dries? Memory is fading..haven't done this in a long time.

Hi Patrick - I'm sure others more experienced than myself will chime in, but when I did this I put down a flat gray base coat and let it dry. Then I applied the rubber cement. After that was dry I applied the topcoat, let it dry, and then rubbed off the cement.

Zeke has it right....also try the salt method.....apply salt to damp surface.....allow to dry, apply paint. When dry rub salt off.....flaking paint.
