Not sure when this was made, but it is beautifully crafted and really dusty. Has anyone seen this before. It seems rather special to me. I can't find anything online about "Perfection Scale Models". I need a train model historian in my life!

Looks like the top part of the logo was scratched out, or maybe it's meant to look like that? IMG_5514IMG_5515IMG_5517IMG_5518IMG_5526IMG_5528IMG_5535

I guess that the car you have did not come in that box.    The car looks like a wooden craftsman kit, maybe from Labelle Woodworking, which is still in business.    Maybe some other source.

Perfection Scale models was the name that Max Grey used for his import line.    There was still quite a bit of that stuff around when I got into O scale in the 70s.    As far as I know, all the Max Grey stuff was brass from a few different builders in Japan including Toby and KTM.    Also as far as I know it all came in unpainted and the cars came without trucks and couplers.

Levon Kemalyan (I am not sure of spelling), bought the line from Max and changed the name to US Hobbies.   The models were up graded in many cases with better castings and mechanisms got better motors but continued as  unpainted brass.   US Hobbies was considered the "good stuff" when I got into the hobby.     I don't think US Hobbies continued the Perfection Scale Models name.    US Hobbies primarily used KTM as their builder.

Yes, not from that box which appears to be for a tank car.  Perfection/MG, did not import wood cars or wood car kits.  Could be a LaBelle or several other possibilities. Trailer does not look like one of the MG ones - maybe a Berkshire Valley kit; they made several and maybe still do...
