Phase two PH 180 transformers | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Before I turn on power, I want to be sure…..I have two loops of track, an 060 loop and a 048 loop….each powered by a PH 180. I am running lionchief + locos. I am adding some switches to connect the two loops. So from what I read , the powerhouses should be phased and I really just need to pull the little wires in the fitter pieces so I do not put 20 amps to track. Pulling the little wires in two of the fitter pieces should isolate the loops , am I understanding correctly. The switches are 060 so I will pull the wires off on the pieces that connect the switches

You can easily check the phasing of the transformers, if they're the new version, they should be in phase. The older PH180's did have a run that were out of phase.
