The D.A.R.E. Model Railroad Club of Venetia, Pa, is hosting our annual open house this weekend. All are welcome, no RSVP required. To my knowledge, it's free admission, but donations are welcome. Come see our layouts large and small, from a room-sized HO recreation of the Montour Railroad to a large Western Pa. O gauge layout and everything in between. Refreshments are likely, and there is even the chance that you may see an Allegheny Valley Railroad local freight. Friday evening is also our tree-lighting event. Times are as follows:
Friday 12/5 6:30 PM- 8:30 PM.
Saturday 12/6 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM
Sunday 12/7 12:00 PM- 3:00 PM
Address: The club is located in the old Venetia schoolhouse and community center. For those not familiar with the area, a rough street address is 790 Venetia Road, the tall building with the community center sign out front. We are on the building's third floor, and there is a stair-climber available.
