Plastic Structure Kits: What type of paints do you use?

Rattle can , Airbrushed acrylic . or brush painted acrylic

Usually brushed on cheap craft paints or for larger areas Tamyia or Scalecoat II sprayed with a Preval. In other words, nothing special just what looks like it will do the job and I happen to have.

Pretty much anything works. With some kits you have to wash of aNy release agents that may be on the parts, because it can prevent paint from sticking.

I like Tamiya paint the best. It isn't too thick.

I've taken to hitting mine with a rattle can before doing any other painting/decorating.  Helps in taking the sheen off the plastic, and the next coats of usually acrylics cover better.
