It's the translucency of the yellow plastic that makes it look like an Easter egg. A coat of opaque paint should improve things significantly.
I'm open to suggestions for paint on the bus. I would like for the base color to remain visible, but am planning to add some dark green to the sides for a two-tone paint scheme. Where I'm stumped is what color to paint the interior—that ought to cut down on the translucency. I'm guessing this is supposed to be a 1950's-era bus. I'm thinking of painting the interior a light brown, but don't know if that would be correct.
