Hello, all:

I have been working for a good while on a pond near the corner of my layout. It is carved into the foam board base for the scenery. It looks pretty good, but it  extends too far and causes my track to hang over. Because I use FasTrack, it isn't realistic to use the trestle system, so I want to either build a cement bridge or find another way to fix this issue. I like the way the pond looks, so I want to avoid filling it in and starting over. Does anyone have any tips, or any recommendations on fixing my issue?

Also, I had a guest over that sat a bottle in the center of the pond that made a ring in the Realistic Water Surface. I tried using a hair dryer to melt the area, but it did not work. I am concerned that if I re pour the realistic water that it will show the existing layer through. Does anyone know how to fix that issue?

Thanks!image

The ring you mention is not visible in the image so I can see.

I wanted to make a stream look "bubbly" and flowing. I spread some water effects on a teflon pan, suitably "dappled" it and just laid it atop the flat water. It looks pretty good IMO. You might try a larger patch to cover the entire ring you are trying to hide. It won't hurt anything. If you don't like the effect, just remove it and no harm done.

I also tried pouring more stuff over the "ripples" but that did not look good to me and, of course, is permanent.

Add a few more concentric circles and a person with a fishing pole, with the line just cast at the center of the circles.

Hi!

I really like the fisherman idea! I am going to use a heat gun to get some of the scratches and scuffs off of the pond, and then I am going to add him (and a dog) to the scene. Today I solved the overhang issue... Now I just have some weathering to do and then I can move to the next project.image

Thanks for all the help!
