The motor part of the loco is made up of common postwar parts. In your photo the red wire is power to the eunit. It connects to the lug on the left side of the eunit terminal board. The yellow wire appears to be power back to the sound system. The terminal on the right side of the eunit terminal is the common connection to the eunit. In your photo the eunit on/off switch is in off position. Have you tried to run it with the eunit turned on? You could use a couple of test leads to apply power to the eunit terminal board to see what happens. In the picture, on the left, you can see the common wire going from the motor to the motor frame. Check that wire and see that it is still connected. If this gets the eunit cycling, but the motor does not run, you need to start trouble shooting the eunit.
