I want to run my TIU using an external power supply. I cannot find one that I believe would work. I'm confused I believe that I need a transformer that supplies power at 12 to 22 volts and 1.5AMPS. Can someone provide me with a source for this transformer.

Yep, looks to have the same specs.
Thought this be a good option since shipping is free & the item is located in the US.
An MTH TIU? Not just a AIU but a TIU??
That wall wart is suitable to power the trains?
As opposed to a Z-1000 or Z-4000 input ?
As oppose to a Lionel 180 brick input?
I must gotta be missing something.......
Old World DC RRer here.
I believe it's just for powering the TIU. The track is a different story. I'm sure that must all be explained in Barry's book, & a must have purchase. I think my book is about 10 years old. I need to get the latest version.

We like to run very small trains Tom.
Sounds like the "Barry Book" is my next purchase. Barry, I do believe you must be one of the more patient souls on this forum in the manner that you field some very elementary questions. Thank you.
