I’m working on my 5x12 layout and looking for comments on my plans for power. I am running 2 main loops. I have hidden switches that can isolate the loops or connect them electrically. I use a ZW-C controller with two 135 bricks with Legacy. I plan to run my TMCC diesel locomotives and a Lion Chief steamer. If I run conventional I would park the TMCC and Lion Chief on controlled sidings and only run one conventional train at a time. I have each loop connected to each side of the ZW and each set to 18 volts when using Legacy. With the loops connected and TMCC trains running on each loop simultaneously it seems I have a more even power distribution than I do with the loops isolated. So far no problems but as a beginner to the legacy system I would like to hear the more experienced.
