This question was answered, I just can't find where - to power the TIU (independently) I am using a Z1K. Want to eventually use this brick to power accessories. Presumably, using a Z500 brick is sufficient? If sufficient, this is easy as I already own one. Or ideally, should I be using even less power? and if so can anyone recommend a good brick for this purpose? Thanks. Peter

You can use the z 500, or a wall wart. Not sure what the actual requirement for the aux power is, but mine works fine with a universal adaptor from the w mart place. I set mine for 12v.
I am using a Z500, works fine. I think it's also recommended in Barry's book for use as aux power for your TIU. There was another one recommended from Radio Shack, but I think some have reported having trouble finding that one?
The Radio shack unit puts out 18Vac at 1 amp. retail cost is 25$. at present it's out of stock online, your local rat shack may have it in stock.
