I have a fairly recent Atlas O F7 (Mil. Rd. 30134006, with TMCC, RS and ERR cruise), and when in reverse the red marker lights come on, but the headlight and the MARS light remain illuminated. Is that normal, or is there some bug in the electronics causing this? Thanks.

Are you running the engine conventionally or in command mode? I found a video showing the Atlas O Santa Fe F-3 and F-7 being operated in conventional mode, and they exhibited the condition you described.
Thanks very much, Michael. I was testing the engine in conventional. Glad to hear it works properly in command. I'll be running it with command tomorrow. The electronics in these engines sometimes do mysterious things.

I think the reason for the headlight and mars light remaining on in both directions is they're connected to the headlight output which turns into AC in conventional mode. So the directional control is lost, since the LED sees half sin wave AC all the time. I might be incorrect, maybe someone else more familiar with this can pitch in why that happens in conventional
